top tips for choosing your dog ramp

choose your dog ramp in 2 easy steps
To work out right fit for your dog ramp for your home, there are 2 easy steps you need to take:
STEP 1: Decide where you need the dog ramp: the couch, the bed or both!
STEP 2: Measure the height of the couch or bed in centimetres
If the height of your couch or bed is 50cm or less you are good to go!

dog ramp slopes: the maths
The incline of your dog ramp should not be too steep. The ideal range for the slope of a dog ramp measures between 18 and 26 degrees. A larger degree angle means that it will take more effort to walk up the ramp.
There are 3 main types of slopes:
- Easy slope (18-20 degrees): a gentle incline recommended for elderly dogs or dogs with hip/leg problems
- Normal slope (22-24 degrees): suitable for most dogs, and for dogs beginning to show signs of mobility struggles
- Climber slope (26 degrees): best suited to younger, healthy dogs with good mobility
Don’t worry! At dogini dog ramps, we have done the maths, and all ramp settings are an easy or normal slope.
